I recently had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service at the Holiday Inn bar on Saturday 1st July 2023, and I must commend Katie Parkman for going above and beyond to make my evening unforgettable. The standout feature of my visit was her willingness to keep the bar open later than planned, demonstrating her commitment to ensure guests had a remarkable experience. We got married on the same day at a local venue and returned from our reception party at 12:00am. Despite the clock ticking past closing hours, Katie graciously extended the service to accommodate myself and my fellow wedding guests. Her friendly demeanour and professionalism remained unwavering, creating an atmosphere that felt warm and inviting. Not only did she keep the drinks flowing (on her own due to limited staff availability), but she also had to check-in arriving guests, taking the time to engage in genuine conversations, ensuring that each guest felt valued and taken care of. Her attentiveness to details and genuine interest in our preferences further enhanced the overall experience. It's rare to find someone so devoted to their guests' enjoyment, even when faced with the inconvenience of extending their working hours. This exceptional service truly made my visit memorable. Katie’s commitment to going the extra mile reflects highly on the establishment as a whole.
